Peruvian Rayo was born on a bright sunny day in the spring, therefore the name Rayo, Spanish for sunbeam. His superior herdsire qualities were evident by the time he was just three months old. Rayo has won ribbons at the Eastern Alpaca Jubilee and at the 2000 AOBA Convention in Louisville.

Renaissance, one of our three black herdsires, was chosen for the 1999 cover of the Alpacas Magazine Herdsire Edition. All of his crias have beautiful color.
